Overview: The

Deputy Head

works under the supervision of the Head of Foundation to assist in setting priorities for organizational growth and development, implementing the Boards Strategic Plan, and ensuring program and fiscal accountability. This role supports the Head of Foundation in all financial, operational, administrative, and legal aspects of the daily management of

Vijayaratnam Foundation (VF)

and

RYTHM Foundation (RF) . Key areas include resource development, fiscal management, staff supervision, and adherence to standard non-profit business practices. The foundations operate globally with a focus on education, empowerment, environment, and community-based projects. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Organizational Development Oversee the execution of VF and RFs Strategic Plan, ensuring regular reviews and updates as approved by the Board. Propose goals and strategies aligned with VF and RFs mission to support organizational growth. Provide oversight and support to program staff, including implementing short- and long-term staff development plans. Financial Management and Administration Maintain fiscal responsibility for the annual budget and provide regular updates to the Board to build a sustainable financial model. Ensure fiscal and legal accountability for programs and related funding. Negotiate with external entities, including governments and private businesses, on behalf of the organization. Program Development and Management Designing and developing programs that align with the Foundations overall strategic goals. Identifying and cultivating relationships with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries globally. Overseeing implementation and monitoring of projects in Africa, Nepal, Sri Lanka Malaysia, and other regions. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a masters degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years experience in program and leadership roles, preferably in the non-profit sector. Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day management tasks. Strong references and a proven background in addressing community issues. Confident public speaking abilities and excellent writing skills. Proficiency in relevant computer applications. Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva) and other relevant skills. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
