Infrastructure Specialist (Network) (Senior)

- Lead and participate in assigned project management tasks. Serve as an in-house subject matter expert to analyze and provide recommendations based on business vs. IT requirements and strategic directions. Collaborate with relevant parties to design, implement, and configure scalable infrastructure and network systems.
- Design secure infrastructure architecture, plan for security and capacity. Lead efforts to replace, upgrade, and introduce innovative technology solutions that meet IT, security, and business requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations. Manage infrastructure change requests effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Troubleshoot, diagnose, monitor, and resolve technical support requests related to networks, infrastructure, middleware, servers, and end-user systems.
- Conduct regular health checks on IT network/infrastructure equipment and systems, including O365, servers, VMware, SAN storage, email, firewalls, WA, switches, and routers. Perform IT asset and user account management. Monitor and ensure successful execution of scheduled jobs, replication, and backup processes. Proactively track logs and alert alarms across servers and networks to identify potential issues early and minimize system and network disruptions.
- Set up and maintain User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Production, and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments for application systems. Identify and assess IT risks, threats, and infrastructure/network vulnerabilities. Ensure timely upgrades of end-of-life systems, firmware updates, and security patches to maintain system integrity. Execute scheduled vulnerability scans and implement remediation measures efficiently to address identified gaps.
- Facilitate internal and external audit engagements. Support remediation activities based on agreed recommendations and associated risks, in line with Global Information Security Group standards, industry best practices, and corporate governance requirements.
- Maintain documentation and reports. Periodically review IT SOPs, guidelines, policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of information security controls. Recommend improvements where necessary.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- CCNA certification is an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on technical experience in helpdesk support, system administration, and maintenance of network/infrastructure systems, such as:
- Analysis and troubleshooting of daily operational issues and incident support related to networks and infrastructure (e.g., servers, storage, backup/restore/replication, scheduled jobs, bandwidth, security patch/firmware deployment, and technical support requests)
- Configuration and administration of network/infrastructure equipment and security controls - including AD, Azure, O365, Wintel/Linux platforms, Middleware, Exchange email, VMware, L2/L3 firewall maintenance, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, proxy, WAF, VLAN, VPN, endpoint protection, backup/restore/replication solutions, MDM, and SIEM
- Technologies related to network security monitoring, content filtering, vulnerability scans, encryption, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, SSH, LDAP, IPSEC, etc.
- Experience in leading and participating in project implementations
- Experience with vendor sourcing, processing PO requests, and establishing IT-related policies, procedures, reports, and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, results-oriented, self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills
- Flexible, independent, and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines
- Must be available to provide after-hours support for urgent incidents
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English, Mandarin speaker is preferred.
