Specialist - Payroll (Maternity Cover- 6 months)
About the Role:
You will ensure accurate processing and recording of the Associations payroll. You will safeguard cash assets and confidential information. You will perform analytical tasks, and facilitate payroll wage verification, check and advice distribution. You will report to the Associate Manager - Payroll. This is a maternity leave cover for 6 months, starting in July 2025.
You Will:
- Process monthly end-to-end payroll of multiple countries (US & Africa region) following established global policy, process and compliance framework.
- Maintain good relationships and work with HR/Finance/IT/ADP.
- Collaborate with Governing Bodies (SCHWAB/ FSA/ H.S.A/ Garnishment) for any Statutory compliance information.
- Perform Year-End Preparation and perform balance adjustment for any ad-hoc case.
- Ensure Statutory compliance submissions are met.
- Handle payroll calendar with respective country payroll.
- Handle PO billing or any payment execution for country payroll.
- Collaborate with HR, business owners and temporary staff agencies to ensure POs are raised, receipted and payments made, accruing expenditure at every month-end for temp hires.
- Work with External/Internal Audit for any supporting documents/ enquiry.
- Update all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure documents are up-to-date.
- Review timesheet submissions for accuracy and completeness; troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments.
- Calculate employee payroll deductions, including taxes and benefit premiums.
- Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmation reports.
- Ensure appropriate tax treatment of employer paid benefits.
- Handle escalation issues for Level 2 payroll support .
- Process correct garnishment calculations and ensure compliance.
- Process accurate reporting.
- Use a hybrid work schedule
You Have:
- 2 years accounting experience processing multi-state/jurisdiction payroll.
- High School Diploma.
- Must demonstrate English language competency.
