• Job Title: Financial Controller - Manufacturing Business

About The Role

The Financial Controller will be a key leader responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic insights to enhance efficiency and profitability. The role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, inventory management, and compliance with Malaysian regulations.

Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Manage the full accounting cycle, ensure timely closing, prepare financial statements in accordance with MFRS, and coordinate audits.
• Cost Accounting & Analysis: Develop cost systems, analyze variances, support pricing and operational decisions, and maintain standard costing.
• Inventory Management & Control: Oversee inventory valuation, collaborate with production teams, reconcile counts, and analyze inventory turnover.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting processes, monitor performance, and develop KPIs.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain internal controls, ensure legal compliance, and oversee statutory filings.
• Business Partnering & Leadership: Partner with operations, lead and develop the finance team, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; Masters degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience as a financial controller or in management roles is advantageous.
• Experience with banking and project accounting.
• Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing finance operations is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
• Up-to-date with accounting standards and reporting skills.

Job Offer

Attractive package: RM 20,000 - RM 25,000 monthly.
