Financial Analyst
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION
This role is responsible for consolidating financial data, preparing management reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insights to drive business performance. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, timely reporting, and strong decision-making support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Consolidate financial results and forecasts from business units and departments.
Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecast, highlighting key drivers.
Develop financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
2. Business Controlling
Support the monitoring of operational KPIs, cost controls, and business performance metrics.
Provide insights on margins, product profitability, and cost structures to aid commercial and operational decisions.
Assist in preparing monthly management reports, board presentations, and business review packs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, etc.) to validate assumptions and ensure data integrity.
3. Financial Reporting & Governance
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial and management reports.
Support the implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures in financial reporting.
Assist in compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
4. Projects & Continuous Improvement
Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system improvements, and process enhancements.
Support ad-hoc projects such as investment appraisals, cost optimization studies, and benchmarking exercises.
Contribute to the development of dashboards and data visualization tools for management reporting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field.
2. Professional qualifications and member of relevant professional certification, e.g. MIA/CIMA/CPA/ACCA/MICPA/ICEAW etc would be an added advantage.
3. 4-7 years of relevant experiences in Business Controlling, FP&A, or Management Reporting (preferably in FMCG, Manufacturing, or multinational environment).
4. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
5. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel/Power BI proficiency.
6. Strong business acumen and understanding of financial and operational linkages.
7. Detail-oriented with ability to handle large data sets and complex analysis.
8. High integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
9. Must be willing to work in Pulau Indah, Klang.
