People Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the complete employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, career development, compensation and benefits, and exit processes.
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, SOPPs, and the HRIS to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll, benefits, and statutory reporting, ensuring 100% compliance with local legislation (EA 1955, IR Act 1967, SOCSO, EPF, EIS).
  • Drive employee relations initiatives and act as an escalation point for sensitive disciplinary or grievance matters, upholding fairness and neutrality.
  • Prepare and present HR metrics, insights, and board-level reports (e.g., turnover, engagement, cost-per-hire, training hours, etc.).
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to the Director and BOD on all people matters, translating business goals into actionable HR strategies.
  • Champion a culture of continuous feedback and data-driven decision-making through OKRs, analytics dashboards, and regular pulse surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR generalist experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or head-of-department capacity.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR strategy in a property, construction, or project-based environment (preferred).
  • Proven track record in organisational change, performance management frameworks (e.g., OKRs), and HR technology implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, statutory contributions, and best-practice HR standards.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
