IT Technician

This job is for an IT Technician specializing in barcode equipment services on customer sites. You might like this job because it involves building customer relationships and proposing service contracts.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.

1. Provide technical support and service for barcode equipment (printers & scanners) at customer sites.
2. Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
3. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
4. Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
5. Build positive relationships with customers.
6. Produce timely and detailed service reports.
7. Propose service contracts.
8. Prepare and submit quotations to customers.
9. Gather information on competitors (label, ribbon & printer) and old SATO printer models.

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronic or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in related fields with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong service orientation.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Own transport is required.
