This Opportunity
Seeking a full-time Fuel Delivery Driver in support of Base Operations Services (BOS) and Mission Support Services (MSS) at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field (AAAF). Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.
Your Impact
The Fuel Truck Driver drives a tanker truck to transport / deliver fuel between the airfields, the Fuel Farm, and all fuel points on Ascension Island.
Major Job Activities:
- Drives a Fuel Truck from Fuel Farm to Airfield and back.
- May also load or unload truck with or without helpers.
- Makes minor mechanical repairs and keeps truck in good working order.
- May grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.
- Operates Tankers and loads the Fuel from the Fuel Bags.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
- Ladders, hoses, spill kits, trucks, jacks, and all equipment and materials used for delivery drivers.
Working Environment:
- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
- The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Physical Activities:
- Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
- Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
- Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- Must maintain a valid drivers license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
- Must be able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
- Must meet United States Department of Defense medical requirements necessary to live and work at Ascension Island

Additional Required Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
- Must be eligible for Base Access / Clearance.
- Must have a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with tanker and HAZMAT Endorsements.
- Must be able to pass the Flight Line Drivers course.
- Must have or be willing to obtain 40 HR HAZWOPER certification.
Experience / Skills:
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a commercial or military fuel truck driver / operator.
- Aviation and fuel farm operations experience desired.
- Must comply with published Company work rules and Government Regulations
- Must understand, read, write, and speak English.
