Engineer Member of Technical Staff, Computer Integrated Manufacturing

Job Summary:

Onsemi is seeking a self-driven professional to join their Manufacturing Operations Systems (MOS) IT team, located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.  As a Member of Technical Staff, you will partner with senior Manufacturing and IT team leadership to define, design, and execute/lead manufacturing system capability improvement roadmaps for onsemi Assembly and Test Operations manufacturing sites.  Duties include analysis, design, development, and implementation of manufacturing execution systems and related systems and functionality.  This role involves working closely with business partners and other IT team members to provide innovative solutions to the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing.  

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

• Lead key projects and initiatives to design, develop, and integrate new solutions and upgrade existing ones

• Have a proven track record of developing and delivering value through application software development and semiconductor factory automation

• Independently and effectively organize, manage, and drive multiple efforts with challenging timelines and technical topics

• Demonstrate effective analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional team of peers, customers, and vendors

• Leverage your strong knowledge of best-in-class factory automation solutions in a semiconductor environment to define and execute capability roadmaps

Communication

• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization including management, business representatives, IT peers, customers, and vendors

• Create documentation to capture detailed analysis and design to satisfy current and future business requirements as well as support current sustaining processes

Business Partner Alignment

• Promote practices to improve business partner satisfaction and build strong business partner relationships

• Facilitate business partner meetings to identify needs and capture accurate requirements

Engineering Knowledge

• Act as the architect/subject matter expert to design and deliver required automation improvements

• Demonstrate strong applied knowledge of software engineering, information systems, and technology life cycle management

• Demonstrate expertise with modern version control systems such as GIT

• Demonstrate expertise of Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems

• Demonstrate expertise with SEMI SECS/GEM protocols

Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing execution system and related system software development and deployment in a semiconductor manufacturing company

• 5+ years of experience integrating with other manufacturing systems including but not limited to equipment integration

• 5+ years of experience developing in Python, Java, C#, and/or ASP.Net

• 5+ years defining factory automation capability roadmaps

• Strong knowledge of semiconductor wafer map systems, autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) and/or COBOTS, dynamic part average testing (DPAT) and manufacturing product QA sampling techniques.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or other engineering discipline.  

• Years of experience may be substituted for education.

• Experience leading projects as a project lead and technical lead

• Experience with GENESIS MES system

• Experience leading an MES development team

• Knowledge of shop floor to ERP integration

Wage & Salary

• Worker will be paid not less than the minimum wage according to the local applicable law.

• Worker will be entitled to all the statutory benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, and Group Insurance

Working Hours

Normal Hours: 

Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm (Please observe your location working hours)

Shift Structure:

Periodically rotating shift structure.

Shift working schedule: Day Shift: 6.00am - 6.00pm

 Night Shift : 6.00pm - 6.00am

Overtime Rate:

Overtime hours is any number of hours more than the normal hours of work completed per day. 

• For overtime on Ordinary Working Day and/or Off Day: rate of one and a half (1.5) times the hourly rate of pay;

• For overtime on Rest Day and Public Holiday: minimum of two (2) times the hourly rate of pay.

Annual Leave:

• 13 working days on a prorated basis for less than 2 years of service. Max 22 working days for year of service 15+.
