Technical & Sales Support Specialist
Position: Technical & Sales Support Specialist - 2 positions available
We are a Multinational Company rapidly growing global manufacturing and distribution company in the paint and coatings sector. We are seeking a dynamic, career driven professional for a key position within our technology group. This position will focus on overcoming any number of technical issues, both customer/client or company related, as it pertains to the paint and coatings industry. The successful candidate will also be expected to travel internationally and work alongside current and potential customers in their respective laboratories.
Mission: Facilitate continued growth for the company by providing technical support to our sales team and customers.
Job Duties:
• Work with the technical team to devise answers to a wide variety of paint and coatings problems
• Evaluation of various formulations and application procedures to identify issues and implement solutions using existing/new products
• Ability to compile data and make the necessary recommendations required to move the project forward
• Write accurate and precise technical reports
• Interface with Sales representatives and customers
• Provide feedback regarding market needs, trends and changes in technology
• Deliver technical presentations to current and potential customers/clientele
• Ability to learn and understand new technologies/products in a timely manner
• Provide on-site technical support to clients (onsite lab work & plant trials)
Qualifications:
• Minimum requirement of University or Technical degree in a science related field
• Minimum 1 to 3 years experience formulating paints and coatings - working knowledge with colorants is a strong asset
• Required to travel a minimum of 10 weeks per year
• Strong grasp of the English language both verbal and written - Ability to speak multiple languages would be a strong asset
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, equipment and procedures within a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
• Project management capabilities
• Excellent communications skills with cross-functional teams, self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills
