QUANTITY SURVEYOR (QS)

About the role

K.K.I.P. SDN. BHD is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on a contract basis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.

What youll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Measuring and valuing work carried out on-site, processing interim payments and final accounts
• Negotiating and administering subcontracts and supplier agreements
• Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they remain within budget
• Advising on contractual matters and resolving any commercial disputes
• Providing regular financial reports and forecasts to project managers and clients
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

What were looking for

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• 8+ years of post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and project control techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Proficient in using industry-standard software such as estimating and project management tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team
