Product Manager (Devices)

Your new company

The Device Product team plays a pivotal role in driving device-led growth within the mobile telecommunications sector. Its core responsibility is to support product and campaign initiatives by ensuring that all devices — whether refurbished or new — meet defined performance, technical, and commercial standards. The team oversees comprehensive device testing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and partner coordination, ensuring all deliverables are met within committed timelines.

Your new role

  • Strategic Product Ownership - Led the vision and roadmap for the companys device portfolio, focusing on low-capex models like refurbished devices and co-branded partnerships; tailored offerings to user segments such as youth, families, and tourists.

  • Lifecycle & Channel Management - Managed end-to-end product lifecycle across online and offline channels; structured device bundle launches, refresh cycles, and market-fit optimisation in collaboration with suppliers and commercial teams.

  • Innovative Distribution & Digital Commerce - Explored creative distribution models including in-app stores and trade-ins; leveraged companys app for digital sales and partner-led fulfilment to enable fast, low-cost market entry.

  • Documentation & Quality Assurance - Maintained comprehensive device certification records including IMEI, firmware, and test logs; ensured traceability for audits and customer issue resolution; upheld QA standards across all device rollouts.
  • P&L Ownership & Profitability Management - Managed full P&L for the device product line, including revenue, cost structure, and profitability; developed pricing strategies and negotiated vendor terms to ensure strong ROI across initiatives.

  • Revenue Growth & Strategic Pricing - Designed upsell strategies, pricing tiers, and bundle mechanics to boost ARPU and reduce churn; monitored conversion funnels and user behaviour to optimise offerings based on performance insights.

  • Inventory & Risk Control - Collaborated with finance and suppliers to implement low-risk inventory models like drop-shipping and consignment; minimised unsold stock exposure through strategic procurement and contractual safeguards.

What youll need to succeed

  • Over 5 years of experience in product management, device commercialisation, and technical operations within mobile network operators (MNOs), MVNOs, or consumer electronics brands. Proven success in launching and managing consumer devices and service bundles in prepaid telco and digital commerce environments.

  • Skilled in working with refurb vendors, OEMs, and wholesale suppliers, including contract negotiation, technical validation, and supply chain coordination. Experienced in managing product P&L, cost structures, and performance forecasting. Strong grasp of network technologies, SIM behaviour, UAT planning, and QA lifecycle for integrated hardware-software products.

  • Hands-on collaboration with teams across Product, Engineering, Customer Care, Legal, Finance, and CRM. Proficient in preparing product documentation, audit logs, and compliance reports for regulatory bodies such as SIRIM and MCMC. Well-versed in telecom regulations and industry standards.
