Director, Programme/ Project Management MY

Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership and Management Develop and manage all project phases, including scoping, business case approval, planning, budgeting, risk management, quality control, implementation, and post-implementation review. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Create project plans, schedule activities, and allocate resources.

Coordinate with external vendors for sourcing, selection, and implementation of software products. Oversee cross-cultural IT teams and vendors, tracking deliverables, costs, schedules, dependencies, risks, and issues using appropriate tools. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Manage project budgets to ensure delivery within financial constraints. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts. Identify and implement improvements in project management processes.

Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders. Implement project changes and interventions to meet objectives. Lead and evaluate project team performance, including internal and external team members.

Analyze project impacts, interfaces, and dependencies. Resolve business and technical problems, proposing solutions or alternatives. Track and report on project benefits post-implementation.

Stakeholder & Change Management Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Facilitate communication of change to stakeholders and affected personnel. Team Management Conduct weekly team standups.

Job Specification Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification in PMP, SCRUM Master, PRINCE2, and/or ACP is preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience as a Programme/Project Manager managing large-scale projects in banks/financial institutions with a successful IT project implementation track record.

Experience managing projects valued over RM5 million. Experience handling multiple programs/projects in dynamic and complex environments. Required Competencies and Skills Technical/Functional Skills Banking operations, products, services, and technology.

Portfolio, programme, and project management processes, techniques, SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.), and automated tools. End-to-end IT lifecycle and project management, including pipeline, resources, demand, delivery, and finances. Quality and risk assessment principles and processes.

Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Non-Technical Skills Prioritization and execution under high pressure. Collaboration and influencing skills. Interpersonal and communication skills.

Adaptability and flexibility. Stakeholder management. Conflict and change management.
