Springboot Developer

Job Title: Senior Spring Boot DeveloperLevel / Grade: Contract

1. Responsible for timely documentation of technical design and specifications in accordance with the business specifications and project standards.
2. Ensure timely completion of business application coding with project schedule.
3. Compliance of frontline development functions to System Development Guideline and Standards.
4. Quality of frontline systems developed and implemented in fulfilling system specifications and user requirements.
5. Constant communication with team members/users/vendors.
6. Keeping up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment.
7. Monitor and guide junior developers deliverables and quality.

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
2. At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field and ability to guide and review the codes of junior developers for Senior position.
3. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills as well as detail-oriented.
4. Good verbal and written English communication skills.
5. Ability to multi-task, prioritizing in managing workloads and to meet deadlines.
6. Familiar with and/or have experience with Agile development under the SCRUM methodology.
7. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Experience in leading a team with Angular/Spring Boot developers is an added advantage.
9. Experience in the Insurance Industry is an added advantage.

1. Required strong Programming Skills: Spring Boot (mandatory), Spring, Java EE.
2. Required Good experience in Oracle 11g or above / DB2 version 10 and above Database for PLSQL and Stored Procedure.
3. Experience in designing security between the applications integration (not using 3rd party software).
4. Experience in JBOSS server and Tomcat server environment; including troubleshooting the servers.
5. Good Knowledge in JSON, RESTFUL API, Web Services.
6. Experience in Microservices Architecture design.
7. Experience in developing enterprise high-volume transactional applications which share codes across multiple platforms with cross-browser compatibility; involved in end to end system integration is an added advantage.
8. Experience in Maven, CLI Build scripts is an added advantage.
9. Experience in DevOps tools like Jira, Jenkins is an added advantage.
10. Experience in backend technologies such as Java and Oracle database is an added advantage.
