Senior Staff Engineer Process Development (Molding)

Will be responsible for delivering the long-term encapsulation roadmap, focusing mainly on encapsulation equipment and the overall IFX backend manufacturing, with inputs from the package platform roadmap.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

• Continuously explore new encapsulation equipment development collaborations and engage in technical discussions with key encapsulation equipment suppliers.
• Operate basic unit process equipment, understand its functions and mechanisms, and define critical setup and conversion processes.
• Conduct basic Risk Hazardous Analysis of semiconductor packaging requirements and manufacturing safe operation environments (e.g., ESD & Ergonomics).
• Perform fundamental statistical data analysis and Statistical Process Control (e.g., SPC).

Your Profile

You are ideal for this role if you have:

• A Masters or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics, Mechatronics, or Semiconductor Technology).
• At least 8 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry (Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Package Concept/Process Development Engineering).
• 2 years of technical/functional experience mainly in molding processes (Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Package Development, Process Integration, Technology Integration) is an advantage.
• Fundamental analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g., 8D Methodology, DMAIC, 5-Why Analysis).
• Basic experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, MINITAB, CEDA, DX8).
• Basic understanding of mold processes and packaging material interactions.
