Job Title: Physiotherapist Manager

Reports To: Operation Manager /General Manager

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Physiotherapy Manager will lead and manage the physiotherapy department in our resort to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered physiotherapy care. This position involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and developing programs to improve patient outcomes. The Physiotherapy Manager also works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care and drive the strategic vision of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES1. Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of physiotherapists and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff to foster a positive work environment.
  • Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.

2. Clinical Oversight:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to patients, adhering to clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor patient care plans, ensuring that treatments are effective and adjusted as needed.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of complex cases were required.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.

3. Operations and Administration:

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Oversee the procurement of equipment and supplies for the department.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain standards of practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.

4. Quality Improvement:

  • Implement strategies to improve patient care and department efficiency.
  • Conduct audits and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on new physiotherapy techniques, treatments, and technologies, incorporating them into practice where appropriate.
  • Ensure the department is compliant with regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations.

5. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, nurses, occupational therapists) to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support regarding rehabilitation plans.

6. Professional Development:

  • Promote continuous professional development for the physiotherapy team.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay current with advances in physiotherapy practice.
  • Encourage and facilitate staff participation in further education and research.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications or certifications in physiotherapy management are desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a physiotherapist.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of physiotherapy practices, principles, and standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to make clinical decisions and manage complex cases.
  • Proficient in using healthcare software and record-keeping system

  • Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
  • Ability to use a computer and software proficiently.
  • Maybe assigned other responsibilities as needed (pre-agreed with the client and this company)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
