Project Management - Banking Technology (Full Stack & SQL Expertise)

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a solid background in full stack development and a strong understanding of SQL to lead end-to-end delivery of digital and core banking projects. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and project execution skills to support the banks strategic technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

·       Plan, lead, and manage technology projects across the software development lifecycle, particularly in banking applications.

·       Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, QA, DevOps, business analysts) and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

·       Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

·       Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders; communicate clearly on project goals, scope, and status.

·       Utilize your knowledge of full stack development (frontend, backend, APIs) to assess solution design, feasibility, and performance.

·       Conduct SQL queries and analysis to support data validation, reporting, and issue resolution.

·       Track and report project progress using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

·       Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

·       Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and security policies.

Requirements:

·       Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·       6+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in delivering IT or software development projects in banking or financial services.

·       Hands-on experience or strong understanding of full stack technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js, Java/.NET, RESTful APIs).

·       Proficient in SQL for data analysis and validation (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).

·       Solid grasp of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

·       Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

·       PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus.

·       Familiarity with core banking systems, digital platforms, or fintech solutions is advantageous.
