Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Pastry Baker to join our kitchen team. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or junior baker looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, fast-paced café environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and baking pastries, cakes, and desserts
• Follow recipes, portioning, and plating standards consistently
• Assist with daily mise en place (ingredient preparation)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen at all times
• Help monitor inventory of ingredients and report stock shortages
• Occasionally assist in decorating and packaging bakery items
• Support in opening and closing kitchen duties

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or equivalent
• Up to 1 year of experience in a bakery or café environment (internship/freelance experience accepted)
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques, tools, and kitchen safety
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
• Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
