Description

The ideal candidate who has particularly great HPHT knowledge is required for the following critical tasks, which the Drilling department is working on:

• Work out engineering, tender and preparation work of exploration.
• Review and supervise other projects if any.
• Plan, work and supervise Drilling Engineers as a Senior Drilling Engineer and support the Drilling Manager in performing all aspects of drilling engineering works for the successful, cost-effective and safe implementation of exploration and development activities, both in offshore and onshore concession areas.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategies, plan schedule the preparation of the exploration well project to ensure all activities are operated in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Engage various studies, discussions and prepare necessary documents such as CSG design, MPD program, Conceptual well program, Drilling Program, Relief well plan including dynamic kill program, NOOP, DWOP and other documents.
• Be responsible for the technical/engineering part of each tendering and contract. Communicate with the Procurement department and services companies and/or manufacturer to make sure all the equipment and services required for the exploration well are available without delaying the commencement in line with technical requirements.
• Execute the exploration well programme/operations with close communication with the Drilling Superintendent, HSE department and other Drilling engineers, DST engineer.
• Provide the necessary technical and cost-related information to the internal Drilling department and external departments and also support the Drilling Manager for information sharing with the stakeholders, as and when required.
• Consolidate, capture and verify all technical information and disseminate them to the various drilling engineers in the projects team to ensure everybody is well-updated on technologies for drilling activities.
• Ensure compliance with the companys safety standards by coordinating and performing on-site rig inspections, acceptance tests on contracted drilling rigs and 3rd party equipment, materials and supplies. Plan, coordinate and perform on-site rig inspections, acceptance tests on contracted drilling rigs and third party equipment, materials and supplies to be in compliance with NIPPONs safety requirements and standards as and when required.
• Prepare and run any engagement session with external parties.
• Provide necessary input and support for new venture projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical).
• Min 10 years of diversified experience in drilling activities.
• Min 5 years experience in Malaysia.
• Has mastery knowledge and experience of HPHT well (>10kpsi, >400F).
• Has experience of exploration well through designing and execution.
• Jack up and Tender assist rig experience.
• Well integrity knowledge and experience (NORSOK D010, Norwegian 117).
• CCUS/CCS knowledge and experience.
• Proactive. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
