Business Development Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and drive the growth of our plastic injection molding business. The ideal candidate will have a strong network in the manufacturing industry, particularly in industries requiring overmolding, insert molding, and soft material molding (e.g., automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices, and textiles). This role will be responsible for growing a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities, and establishing long-term relationships with clients.

Base Salary:
- RM 8,000 - RM 12,000 per month (depending on experience and track record)
- Above-market pay with bonus commission for every deal closed

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development:
- Identify and close new business opportunities in industries requiring overmolding, insert molding, and soft material molding such as fabrics.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
- Represent our company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events in Malaysia and other countries
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, and in existing customer accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits and act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensures all customer projects execute to contract, hitting key KPIs.
3. Sales Strategy:
- Revise and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure client requirements are met.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients. In charge of closing all commercial negotiations and client pricing changes.
4. Reporting:
- Provide regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, forecasts, and market insights.
- In control of tracking customer-related risks to the business and reporting to necessary stakeholders accordingly.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
1. Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the plastic injection molding or related manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing a sales pipeline.
- Established network of contacts in industries requiring plastic components
2. Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes.
- Familiarity with plastic injection machines of small to mid-ranged tonnage and their applications.
3. Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and/or Mandarin highly advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
