The worlds leading plastic packaging solution provider is looking for an Assistant Production Manager.

Your new company

My client is a global packaging solutions provider focused on delivering high-quality plastic products through continuous innovation and advanced manufacturing technologies. They are now looking for an Assistant Production Manager to ensure smooth functioning in the production department.

Your new role

  • Schedule and delegate tasks for shift supervisors, material handlers, and operators.

  • Oversee the proper functioning of all injection moulding machines.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve moulding and injection part-related issues.

  • Service and conduct minor repairs on moulds; suggest part replacements as needed.

  • Maintain detailed mould repair logs, including part replacements.

  • Track and manage spare parts/inserts inventory; coordinate with vendors for external repairs upon superiors approval.

  • Handle product colour and type changes on injection machines.

  • Perform monthly calibration of master batch dosing systems.

  • Organise and update technical drawings and documents for moulds and hot runner systems.

  • Train Material Handlers on machine operations.

  • Maintain updated records of machine parameter settings.

What youll need to succeed

  • Diploma or Degree in an Engineering-related field.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in plant and machinery maintenance.

  • Familiar with plastics injection machine function and mould servicing. Example: Sumitomo/ Demag/ Engel etc.

  • Proficiency in English & Mandarin is needed for international stakeholder management.
