Job Summary: The Technical Manager for Coil Coatings and Industrial Coatings will oversee technical aspects related to development, production, and quality control of coatings, leading a team of professionals to ensure project success, product development, and quality standards adherence. The role requires expertise in coatings technology, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Provide expertise in formulation, testing, performance, and application of coil and industrial coatings.

Lead R&D efforts to enhance coating performance, durability, and sustainability. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of chemists, engineers, and technicians.

Foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Product Development: Collaborate on developing new coatings tailored to customer needs. Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to market.

Analyze market trends for sustainable product design. Quality Control: Implement procedures to meet industry and customer standards. Address quality issues with solutions and improvements.

Project Management: Plan and execute projects related to coatings development and process optimization. Monitor timelines, budgets, and resources. Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers in collaboration with sales and marketing.

Build relationships, conduct product presentations, and training. Promote product range and awareness. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international standards and environmental regulations.

Support legislative compliance and integrate QMS into business processes. Promote health and safety in accordance with company policies. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related; Masters preferred.

At least 15 years of experience in industrial or coil coating, with proven leadership. Deep knowledge of coating technologies, processes, and applications. Experience with plastic, water-based, UV coatings is desirable.

Strong project management, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and regulatory knowledge. Willingness to travel occasionally within Malaysia and internationally.
