Purchasing Assistant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to guarantee quality, reliability, and service standards while achieving the most favorable cost.

  • Qualify and evaluate new suppliers to achieve cost savings and value improvements. Analyze purchasing data and trends to find areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Build and maintain good partnership with supplier to ensure flawless support.

  • Evaluate suppliers and vendors in terms of quality, delivery time, and price, as well as ensuring they meet the Companys standard requirements.

  • Work with production planning to ensure that material procurement matches production demand while maintaining a healthy inventory.

  • Manage import/export processes, including logistics coordination and customs documentation.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and related documents from requisition to settlement in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Manage nonconforming materials, including their prompt return to vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including sales tax, duties, and exemptions.

  • Keep accurate records of purchases, costs, deliveries, and inventory.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or any related discipline.

  • At least 8 years of experience in Purchasing.

  • Strong proficiency in negotiation skills and planning.

  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

  • Motivated and articulate.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
