Product Manager, Hire Purchase-i

AEON Bank Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Product Manager to lead the end-to-end development and management of AEON Banks Hire Purchase-i (HP-i) financing product. This role is pivotal in launching and scaling the HP product offering in collaboration with a major automotive brand and key internal stakeholders, including AEON Credit Service Malaysia (ACSM). The Product Manager will own the product strategy, roadmap, implementation, and continuous optimisation within a fully digital banking environment. Responsibilities

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Hire Purchase product in alignment with business goals. Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to shape value propositions and pricing models. Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements. Lead end-to-end delivery of the HP product, from ideation to launch, across multiple sprints. Coordinate with technology teams on system development, integration, and testing activities. Ensure product compliance with regulatory, legal, and Shariah requirements. Act as the key liaison between AEON Bank and external partners, especially ACSM and the automotive brand. Work with ACSM to align on customer journey, acquisition strategy, operational readiness, and ongoing performance tracking. Present updates to senior leadership and regulatory bodies, as needed. Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, feedback, and market insights. Collaborate with Customer Experience and Marketing teams to refine messaging, campaigns, and onboarding flows. Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management within banking or fintech; exposure to Auto Financing or HP products is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of digital banking platforms, credit processes, and operational setup. Experience in stakeholder management and partner collaboration, especially in high-visibility product launches. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge of Islamic banking and Shariah principles is a plus. Seniority level
