We are looking for fresh voices to join our Morning Run team. If you have a passion for business and management issues, and at least 3 years of experience in journalism, or have a good grasp of current affairs, please submit your CV for us to have a chat. Responsibilities:

Interview, prepare research, and dive deep into business and market news of the day. Start early: our day begins at 5 am with an editorial meeting. You finish by 10 am, and you have flexibility in structuring your research and interview times. Be credible and authoritative on Malaysian business and markets, familiar with terms like CAGRs, EBITDAs, and NTAs. Exude professionalism, integrity, and intellectual honesty, reflecting BFMs core values. Be a team player, willing to undertake any tasks to produce a quality programme. A degree in business, finance, accounting, or related disciplines is beneficial. Roles and Responsibilities:

Source insightful guests regularly. Prepare for and greet guests. Schedule topics and interviews at least two to three weeks in advance. Conduct background research for interviews. Arrange for pre-recorded interviews and maintain an edited interview bank. Seek collaborations with other teams in areas of mutual interest. Maintain the contacts database. Continuously learn new skills, such as RSC system, studio operations, editing, production, and technical skills. Nurture ownership mentality within your team and for programmes you are not directly responsible for. Ensure promos are produced on time and that commercial obligations are met. Stay updated on Malaysian business news and regional markets. Assist with daily Market Watch questions and reports. Support presenters proactively in their duties. Meet all deadlines for scheduling, recording, and podcasting interviews. Accept and seek constructive feedback to improve content and technical aspects. Promote programmes actively on social media. Volunteer for BFM initiatives beyond your immediate tasks. Attend relevant training sessions. Conceptualize and produce longer-form programmes as needed. Our workplace culture is our biggest asset!
