Operation & Maintenance Engineer (Kedah)

Responsibilities

Manage resource planning and schedule arrangements for corrective and preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with the Scope of Work and Service Level Agreement.

Arrange or attend to electrical breakdowns related to solar PV systems, initiate fault diagnosis, and execute corrective actions for assigned solar PV projects.

Verify all work performed by technicians or contractors, emphasizing quality and ensuring countermeasures adhere to standards, procedures, and specifications.

Provide technical reports on breakdowns, corrective actions, and periodic maintenance activities.

Monitor system performance by collecting relevant data and generating statistical performance reports.

Conduct technical studies, design projects, and prepare cost estimates.

Determine project schedules by studying project plans and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.

Liaise with Sales, Project, and Procurement departments to provide technical support and resolve issues during project installation.

Review project QA/QC before testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with standards and contract requirements.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Develop and establish company quality procedures, standards, and specifications.

Serve as the primary interface between authorities, engineering consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and clients during project phases and service warranty periods to foster positive long-term relationships.

Provide technical and non-technical support for developing new applications to improve internal processes.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in electrical installations or maintenance of solar PV projects.

Bachelors Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge of solar PV system design; experience with PVSyst is an advantage.

Extensive knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Customer-oriented, independent, with good interpersonal skills.

Proficient in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, verbal and written.

Physically and mentally fit, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Willing to work on weekends and public holidays if required.

Valid driving license D; willing to travel or relocate.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
