Strategic Business Partnership: The Group HR Managers core mission is to architect a people strategy that transforms human capital into a key competitive advantage. Close partnership with business unit leaders, grounding all group-level talent decisions in robust workforce analytics and intelligence. This leader will translate the groups business plan into a quantifiable talent strategy. The role involves building a robust framework for workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning to ensure the right people are in place to achieve future goals. Compensation and Benefits: Design and implement competitive and equitable compensation structures and benefits programs aligned with industry standards and organizational goals. Conduct periodic benchmarking and market analysis to ensure that company remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent. Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements and timely disbursements of employee salaries and benefits. High-Performance Operating System: Success in this role requires engineering and deploying a simple, unified performance management framework that ties individual and team objectives directly to business unit profitability and strategic goals. The position owns the metrics for adoption, engagement, and impact on productivity. People-Centric Transformation: The Group Head of People & Strategy acts as the executive lead for the people-side of all major change initiatives, including seamless cultural integration and organizational restructuring. A primary goal is to maximize employee engagement and retain key talent through periods of change. The role is responsible for building the HR analytics function from the ground up. This includes defining and reporting on key people metrics (e.g., quality of hire, talent retention rate, leadership pipeline depth) to the board and executive team, providing insights that drive superior business decisions. Employer Brand & Talent Magnetism: This leader will architect and launch a compelling Group Employer Value Proposition (EVP). The objective is to position the group of companies as a top destination for talent in its core sectors, measurably improving the quality and velocity of the talent pipeline. Safety and Health: This role shall champion the development and implementation of workplace safety and health policies across all business units in compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements - OSHA 1994) Collaborate with Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or relevant departments to ensure proper risk assessments, incident reporting and corrective actions are conducted and documented. Promote a proactive safety culture by organizing awareness programs, training and internal audits to minimize workplace hazards and ensure employee well-being. Ensure alignment of safety practices across diverse industries under the Group, including Oil & Gas, Construction and Technology sectors. Qualifications & Professional Attributes: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or HR certifications (e.g SHRM, MIHRM) is an advantage Minimum 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in diversified or conglomerate business environments. Proven experience managing multi-sector operations ( ) In-depth understanding of Malaysian labour laws, HR best practices, and industry specific regulations in Oil & Gas, Construction and Technology sectors. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
