ROLE SUMMARY
This role involves performing account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls. Responsibilities include supporting system change requests and implementing corrective actions to improve data integrity and operational efficiency. This role will contribute to finance related projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams, assisting in system enhancements, and driving process improvements.
Additionally, the role includes supporting audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to audit queries, and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings. This position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in financial systems, strengthen analytical capabilities, and play a key role in supporting strategic finance initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Accounts reconciliation
• Analyse and reconcile balance sheet and profit & loss accounts to ensure accurate account balances and
proper recording of financial transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with sub-ledger data in the system, and coordinate with the Operation
Department to identify and resolve discrepancies or exceptions.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items by working with relevant departments and system vendors. Raise user requirements (UR) for system or data fixes, and follow-up to ensure timely resolution and delivery of fixes.
• Prepare and extract financial data for internal reporting, business unit analysis, and audit purposes,
ensuring completeness and accuracy.
System change request and fixes
• Assist in raising and reviewing Policy Admin System (PAS) change requests, providing clear comments
and suggestions to ensure alignment with business and finance needs.
• Support the review of user requests for system and data fixes, focusing on accounting entries and ensuring
changes meet finance requirements and maintain data accuracy.
• Contribute to finance-related projects by helping with documentation, attending meetings, and supporting
system upgrades or process changes.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for change requests, projects and product launches, and
act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Work closely with other departments to gather feedback and share input, ensuring smooth coordination
and understanding of finance-related impact.
• Help identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing updated workflows or
procedures.
• Assist in assessing and implementing system and process changes driven by updates to accounting
standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely compliance and integration.
