Engineer Network Services Tier 2 - APAC

Responsibilities

Technical support resource equipped with data network and voice competency skills to respond and resolve customer service incident issues.

Member of Tier-2 team operation in APAC time zone, collaborating with teams in AMERS and EMEA regions to provide seamless global support.

Work with GSOCTier-1 team on incident cases, providing advanced technical assistance and resolution.

Work in early and late shifts within local hours of 7am to 7pm, including weekends/public holidays and emergency support after hours.

Monitor network alerts and alarms, respond, and initiate diagnosis and rectification.

Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA timeframes, providing updates in the incident management system.

Engage support calls with network carriers and customers to resolve escalations.

Network Management

Manage core and edge devices including Cisco and Nokia routers, switches, optical platforms, SBCs, and SIP devices.

Ensure compliance with IPC standards and conduct network health checks.

Maintain documentation and support customer measurement reports.

Perform audits and implement fixes based on IPC audit tools.

Change Management

Coordinate hardware replacements, network modifications, and capacity upgrades.

Perform scheduled and emergency changes with proper approvals.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent in Network Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years experience in the technology sector, especially in telecommunications.

Extensive knowledge of IP, SIP Voice, DWDM platforms, Cisco (CCNP), Nokia (NRS), and MPLS.

Experience supporting L2/L3 routing, switching, and SIP technology.

Knowledge of financial market data feeds is a plus.

Excellent communication skills, proactive incident management, and ability to work independently.
