Cost Accountant

Job Description

·      Prepare monthly full set of manufacturing account for manager review.

·      Analyze actual production costs and compare them to standard costs.

·      Provide inputs in analyzing and calculating production costs, standard costing for inventory, and expenses to provide accurate financial information to month end reporting.

·      Monitor & maintain standard costing in inventories.

·      Prepare and provide analysis of cost variance, budgeting, and variance reporting at month end reporting

·      Ensure cost accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, contributing to informed decision-making and effective financial management within the company.

·      Liaise with Factory personnel to obtain informations relating to factory cost consumptions, and for forecast and budgeting purposes

·      Conduct Inventory Audit (Physical Stock count) for manufacturing products

·      Analyzes COGS and Gross Margin transactional information

·      Identifying cost saving opportunities.

·      Any other ad hoc job when assigned by manager

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in reporting.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
