Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineer to join our dynamic EPCC team for large-scale power plant and energy infrastructure projects in Sabah. You will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and structural works, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of project milestones. Key Responsibilities

Site & Project Execution

Oversee and coordinate civil & structural works during construction, including foundations, equipment support structures, buildings, roads, drainage systems, and other related civil works.

Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant codes/standards.

Identify and resolve site-based technical issues in collaboration with design engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Review and approve construction method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and work schedules related to C&S scope.

Technical & Engineering Support

Provide engineering input and verification during the installation of civil and structural components.

Review contractor drawings, material submissions, and technical documents to ensure conformity with project requirements.

Perform basic structural checks and assessments as required, using engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro) and manual methods.

Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process) to ensure integration of civil & structural works with other plant systems.

Support the preparation of tender documents and participate in technical evaluations for C&S work packages.

Prepare progress reports, inspection records, and as-built documentation for handover.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Monitor contractors adherence to QHSE plans and project-specific procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum 7 years

of experience in civil & structural engineering, preferably in power generation, oil & gas, heavy industrial, or energy projects.

Familiarity with structural analysis/design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) and proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review.

Strong understanding of civil & structural engineering principles, construction methods, and applicable codes (Eurocodes, BS, Malaysian Standards).

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

Willingness to travel to and work at remote project sites when required.
