Regional EHS Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional EHS Manager to join their multinational team. This role offers the opportunity to provide safety leadership and technical assistance to a regional management team, while also evaluating safety performance against established targets. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in an international environment, with exposure to diverse cultures and practices.

What youll do:

As a Regional EHS Manager, your role will be pivotal in providing safety leadership across the region. Youll be responsible for evaluating our safety performance against established targets, ensuring we meet all necessary standards. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing site safety plans, conducting regular audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all employees are working safely. Youll also manage the Regional Safety Committee, fostering a culture of cooperation and commitment to safety. Your ability to develop safety competencies within our team will be key to our success.

• Provide safety leadership and technical assistance to regional management team.
• Evaluate safety performance against established targets.
• Participate in the safe planning of work by advising operations and project managers on contractual and Company safety requirements.
• Prepare and review site safety plans, risk assessments, work permits, MOPs, and other supporting safety documentation.
• Visit regularly to perform audits and inspections, identify any hazards and liabilities, and ensure company employees are working in a safe manner under safe working conditions.
• Respond to incidents or safety reports.
• Manage the Regional Safety Committee to assure appropriate committee leadership, participation and results.
• Verify compliance with company policies, EHS and other applicable regulatory agency standards.
• Develop safety competencies in supervisors and site safety personnel.

Most importantly, you have proven ability in establishing effective safety processes and transforming a safety culture.
