Role Overview: As an Engineering Manager for Product Engineering, you will play a crucial role in guiding a talented team of engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative products. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring the team meets project milestones and aligns with business objectives.

NEED TO DO

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Provide guidance on technical challenges, mentor team members, and promote continuous learning and development.

Product Development:

• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring the team meets project timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers to align engineering efforts with product roadmaps and business goals.

Technical Strategy:

• Define and execute the technical strategy for product development, including technology selection, architecture design, and coding standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into the technical roadmap.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of product features and functionality.
• Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration across teams.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and workflows.

NEED TO KNOW & NEED TO BE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role in product development.
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and design.
• Strong technical background with expertise in Java development, including Java EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture.
• Previous hands-on experience in Java application development, with a track record of delivering scalable and high-performance systems.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and project management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving.
