The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

• Apply advanced data analytical skills to device effective detection strategies to identify problematic listings and violations within Shopee MY marketplace including livestream and videos to mitigate platform risk exposure and to provide a positive user experience
• Conduct market research on evolving seller behaviours and enhance our detection strategies based on such evolving behaviour by coming up with new keywords to detect violations.
• Ability to use regular expression tools to generate different keywords iterations In-depth research to understand whether a product is prohibited or restricted for sale
• Work with regional operations team to support the development of models for more accurate and wider detection
• Deep dive and investigate into listing leakages to understand how did the leakage occur and to enhance detection strategies accordingly
• Cooperate with team members/equivalent stakeholders to get insights and potential risk beyond Listing & Content operations
• Project manage the rollout and adoption of initiatives and detection strategies revolving around policy updates

• Any degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or equivalent with strong analytical components
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields.
• Strong data analytical skills, SQL and or Python are highly desirable
• Passion for utilising facts and data to drive informed decision-making and improve processes.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and clear presentation to management
• Experience collaborating and working with multiple stakeholders from across teams and levels
• Interest in designing operational processes and systems
• Good to have as bonus points:
  • Experience in project management/operations within an e-commerce or tech industry
  • Basic understanding of Data Science modeling
