Account Executive

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE The Account Executive is responsible to administer and execute Accounts Payable transactions through timely and accurate processing, matching, coding and updating into relevant systems in accordance with company policy and procedures in order to provide regular, up-to-date, and accurate information on status or deviations.

This position will be reporting to the Payable Team Lead and will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor. Responsibilities:

• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and effective internal control are in place.
• Carry out suppliers and bank reconciliations by analyzing suppliers and bank statements in order to reconcile differences between suppliers and bank statements and our books of accounts.
• Handle all supplier payments for local and overseas vendors by preparing, checking, verifying, posting, and signing all payment vouchers to ensure compliance to payment agreed terms.
• Prepare payroll by processing salaries to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries if required.
• Assist and comply with all VAT regulations as per local requirements if required.
• Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties like banks and auditors to meet audit requirements and adhere to local rules and regulations.

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelors degree, or Professional Degree, in Finance/Accountancy.
• At least 3 years of working experience in related field.
• Knowledge in Accounts Payable and General Ledger is required for this position.
• Familiar with computerized accounting software.
