• Design and Develop Opto-Mechanical Solutions for optical sensors, from conceptual design to design verification.
• Design and Develop Electronic Packages (LGA, QFN, etc.) for optical sensors.
• Liase closely with Optical Design Engineers to implement optical designs into molded lens products.
• Develop and build lab level prototypes to verify product concepts.
• Develop visual, dimensional and functional inspection methodology for pieceparts.
• Qualify and Buy-off new toolings.
• Work with suppliers to sustain product quality and troubleshoot quality issues that may arise.
• Contribute to the development of Intellectual Property of the company.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or other relevant field.
• At least 5 years working experience in mechanical component design.
• Competency in 2D and 3D CAD Modelling, GD&T systems, stack-up tolerance analysis is a must.
• Familiarity with electronic packaging assembly processes and hands-on experience with mechanical stress and flow simulation tools such SolidWorks would be an added advantage.
