Job DescriptionAPPLICATION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 17, 2025What is the opportunity? In this role you will work alongside the Treasurer in carrying out key functional duties of the Treasury Department in a manner that is effective, efficient and prudently viable within the risk parameters established by RBC and the local regulator. This role will also support effective strategy formulation, risk forecasting and superior relationship management for all RBC entities existing in the market.
Duties will encompass liquidity, funding, investment strategies, Foreign Exchange Trading, as well as balance sheet positioning and capital management. What will you do? Provide support to local Treasurer ensuring Treasury risks are effectively and efficiently managed in all strategies and decisions undertakenActively monitor local market activity and complete market reads to keep apprised of developments that may impact the Bank's liquidity and FX positionsAttain profitability targets in foreign exchange dealings using spot/forward transactions against market local dollars and foreign currencies, while providing proactive FX coverage to deepen client relationshipsAct as an industry specialist/representative in the foreign exchange market and keep apprised of trends and developments that may impact the Bank's foreign exchange position and operationsAct as the SME for market intelligence activities through the creation of various relationships within the marketsPrepare various peer comparison reports and recommendations to assist in formulating strategies towards managing Treasury risks working in conjunction with the Treasury analytics teamProactively manage the Bank's Treasury/Market risks on a daily basis, in particular the liquidity and currency positions to ensure strict adherence to Risk Management policy guidelines in accordance with the established limitsMaintain and monitor projected cash flows for liquidity and planning in all currenciesEnsure market reads are conducted to determine competitiveness of interest rates on deposits and wholesale funding and monitors market to keep abreast of interest rates local and foreign, and new investment opportunities, to assist Treasurer in investment decisionsWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-haveB.Sc. or MBA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent qualificationFive (5) years overall experience in a Bank or other financial institution with at least three (3) years working in the Treasury marketSound knowledge of banking statutes and legislation for various local and international jurisdictionsComprehensive knowledge of financial and economic trends in the local, regional and International markets and sound appreciation of money markets, market liquidity and funding dynamics. In-depth knowledge of liquidity, gap analysis, forecasting techniques and ALM risk measurementStrong negotiating, marketing and interpersonal skillsStrong skills in analysis, decision-making and problem-solvingProven knowledge in asset/liability and risk managementWhat's in it for you?
