Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure business process compliance, including adherence to standard operating procedures. Identify safety and security hazards specific to the business unit or country, address process gaps, and implement preventive and protective measures. Define, establish, and implement operating procedures and standards aligned with local authorities, IKEA requirements, and internal routines. Develop and install safety and security systems complying with IKEA standards and local legislation. Adapt internal and national requirements to meet IKEA's safety and security levels. Support the design and build-up or rebuild of stores to incorporate IKEA safety and security requirements. Develop training materials for co-workers and external partners to enhance risk awareness. Administer risk knowledge training, conduct audits, and maintain records. Lead risk management initiatives addressing operational challenges, crowd management, traffic planning, and risk exposure. Ensure compliance through successful internal and external audits. Create action plans for store administration in collaboration with management and ensure their implementation. Coordinate with the Emergency Response Team for handling emergencies and executing the Store Emergency Management Plan. Represent IKEA with external agencies and keep management informed of regulatory changes. Promote a risk and compliance culture by developing leadership and systems to reduce losses and incidents. Develop and report on store compliance status periodically. Educate and empower staff and external providers on the Code of Conduct, anti-corruption policies, health, safety, and environmental legislation. Investigate and report incidents and accidents, and recommend improvements. Manage insurance claims procedures and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Partner with stakeholders to improve inventory accuracy and detect shrinkage and fraud. Act as the first contact for suspected unethical behaviors and investigate when necessary. Contribute to sustainability initiatives aligned with IKEA's long-term objectives. Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational health/safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Over 10 years of experience in a compliance role within retail or similar industries, including at least 3 years in a managerial position. Proficiency in English and local language, with strong communication and influencing skills. Experience with incident reporting, claims handling, and insurance processes. Experience managing security personnel and FCC guards. Leadership ability to develop and coach teams. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams. Experience with fire drills, system testing, crisis management, and investigating fraud. Strong management and strategic planning skills, including budgeting. Ability to analyze data and trends, understand legal and technical documents, and have technical knowledge of security systems. Understanding of profit and loss impact and experience with MS Office tools.
