Quality Assurance & Business Analytics Specialist SG
CIMB Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Responsibilities
Foster agility and growth mindset with robust application of business intelligence and analytic tools to develop, implement and enhance risk management capabilities and processes in meeting evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. Review and challenge as 2nd LoD through review of operational risk metrics and tools (RCSA, CET, CIM, LED, KRI) to identify systemic/thematic risk concerns that warrant deeper analysis. Design and implement insightful non-financial risk dashboards and reports to facilitate risk identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting, enable informed decision-making and provide business stakeholders with clear and actionable insights. Collaborate with CIMB Singapore BUs/BEs to provide insights on key risk areas through integration of appropriate MIS and data analytical tools in BUs/BEs' business planning. Leverage data-driven and deep-dive analysis / insights to identify, evaluate and monitor emerging / new non-financial risk or key operational risk issues impacting CIMB SG BUs / BEs for proactive risk prevention, control and mitigation. Facilitate the analysis, reporting and escalation to Senior Management / risk committees that are strategic, insightful and forward-looking on operational risk exposure and mitigation activity or any other high or critical issues requiring attention. Manage operational risk reporting system as an application administrator, including reference data setup and maintenance, process workflow and exceptions handling. Support strategic alignment by actively participating in internal projects to achieve productivity / quality improvement / drive and improve operational resiliency to support business growth and enhance risk management. This includes user requirement specifications, user acceptance test and documentation of new procedures and training materials. Provide secretariat function and support for SG Risk Committees. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments and best practices in non-financial risk management to continuously enhance the bank's risk management capabilities. Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or equivalent Professional or post graduate qualifications e.g. FRM, Operational Risk Management Certification, etc At least 5-10 years of operational risk management, quality assurance or other risk control-related function experience from the banking industry with focus on business intelligence, data management and analysis. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Possess critical thinking capabilities including strong problem-solving and judgment skills. Agile and growth mindset with the ability to embrace change and drive innovation in risk management practices. Self-motivated and adaptable with strong initiative and desire to learn and develop. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. Strong analytical skills to review and analyse data. Savvy with usage of data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau or Excel Power BI / Power Query. Strong in SQL, SAS, VBA or Python will be added advantage. Proficient in presentation slides and Excel.
