Responsibility1. Carry out the evaluation and assessment of the packaging materials from supplier to ensure good quality prior the delivery (Pre-shipment Sample Assessment).
2. Establish standard specification for packaging. Ensure internal Packaging Material (PM) technical standard well in place and documented.
3. Work closely with supplier to aid all packaging needs including: supplier changes, qualifying new materials and troubleshooting. Liaison with suppliers for analytical testing on packaging.
4. Conduct test and evaluations of alternative packaging materials and responsible in product stability study.
5. Facilitate manufacturing trial run with stake holders in order to test new structural design, new materials and/or material for new supplier.
6. Work closely with Sales Team on packaging configuration in order to optimize container load-ability.
7. Identify potential new PM suppliers and work with Procurement Department to build stronger supplier network.
8. Keep abreast of market trends, packaging concepts, and processes to ensure competitive advantage.
9. Sampling preparation/product mock-up for market assessment.
10. Work with cross-function team (i.e. Engineering, QA, Production, ISS) to develop production solutions on packaging related issue.
11. Responsible in PD documentation control system.
Contribute technical support to troubleshoot customers' feedback and address technical concerns related to products and packaging materials.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Material Science, Chemical Science, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the food industry, preferably with hands-on exposure in Packaging Development or R&D.
Strong passion for food science, product development, and consumer insights, with the ability to drive innovation in new products and processes.
Familiarity with GMP, Halal, HACCP, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsible, disciplined, dedicated, and able to work with a positive attitude.
