Failure Analysis Engineer

based in

Prai, Penang

. This role involves implementing and maintaining cost-effective troubleshooting methods for systems, software, and equipment, proposing solutions for critical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The engineer will also develop training plans for technical staff, monitor technician performance, and improve diagnostic processes. Typical daily responsibilities include: Directing and coordinating failure analysis, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Developing and supporting test programs and models, evaluating failure data, and preparing technical reports. Training technicians and test operators, resolving yield problems, and analyzing circuitry for issues. Performing trend analysis and developing metrics to improve diagnostic efficacy. Additional responsibilities may include: Developing in-circuit, functional, environmental stress screening, and system/software test programs. Supporting quality and reliability improvements, coordinating third-party development, and performing failure analysis on environmental test failures. Qualifications: Typically requires 4 years of experience in test or failure analysis engineering within the high-tech electronics industry or related fields.
