About the role
Based in Bintulu, Sarawak, this full-time position is responsible for managing all aspects of the import documentation process.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and processing all necessary import documentation.
Liaising with customs officials, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of imported goods
Maintaining accurate records and databases of all import activities
Staying up-to-date with changes in import regulations and compliance requirements
Providing support and guidance to internal teams on import-related matters
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the import documentation function
What we're looking for
Minimum 1 year of experience in import documentation or a similar role within the logistics industry, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
Proficiency in Mandarin, to be able to communicate with customers in Mandarin
Proficiency in using relevant software and IT systems for import documentation and record-keeping
Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
