Commercial Finance Associate Director / Director

The Commercial Finance Director is responsible for leading Business Partnering, FP&A, Management Reporting, and Corporate Finance for Zalora. Report to the CFO, and will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

The role leads the Business Partners to Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams of Zalora, as well as the teams managing P&L and Cashflow forecasting, submissions, and variance analysis.

The ideal candidate must be an independent and objective thinker who can set goals, build capability, define processes, and achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

They should also be able to objectively advise the CFO on operational and strategic finance matters, integrating finance into the business and providing value through quality, timely, and accurate information, highlighting issues and trends, and earning the trust of Zalora management.

Considering the lean and flat organizational structure, the candidate must have broad experience across multiple P&L lines and countries.

The role leads 9 team members, with 3 direct reports.

The role includes ad-hoc support to the CFO on Corporate Finance matters.

The ideal candidate will be a values-based leader with a proven record of managing and coaching large teams and building talent.

This is a key role within the Finance Leadership team (FLT) of Zalora.

The role requires working closely with the FLT and key finance stakeholders in Global Fashion Group (GFG) HQ in London, demonstrating ability to work across boundaries and cultures and build professional relationships quickly.

Requirements:

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work across boundaries and cultures and build meaningful professional relationships quickly.

Must be able to analyze and challenge the information reported to the Group with professional skepticism.

Strong commercial acumen, FP&A and Business Partnering experience across P&L and Working Capital, outstanding analytical and presentation skills, with a track record of delivering high-impact outcomes quickly.

The environment is dynamic; hence, the candidate must be a hands-on leader.

More than 15 years of experience within Southeast Asia in various finance leadership roles within commercial and Shared Service environments.

Approximately 25% travel within Southeast Asia expected.
