We are looking for entrepreneurial, commercially driven people, who like to take on this pivotal role in shaping our future growth for both markets. This position will be reporting to our regional office in Malaysia.
Your challenge
In this role you will be responsible for developing and driving the category, brand strategies and plans (in cooperation and coordination with the regional team). Delivers short and long term volume, turnover, profit and brand equity growth in line with the brand/category strategy. To do so, you will:
- Drives category and brand growth for MYSG retail channel.
- Develops and owns brand plans & strategies that is aligned with global guidelines.
- Manages specific implementation of annual brand plans in line with business and global brand strategy. Includes development and implementation of key elements of the marketing mix : advertising, promotional campaigns, digital and POSM.
- Manages, delivers and evaluates brand activities.
- Develops and leads close in brand line extension projects.
- Manages the marketing budget for brands.
- Manage day to day agency relationship with agencies from planning to execution.
- Develops and owns brand P&L, working with sales to ensure P&L delivery.
- Conduct market research and analysis to understand consumer behavior, market trends and competitive landscape.
- Create & implement social media strategy that aligned with company guideline.
- Manage social media content calendars, media plan & partnership with influencers.
- Tracking and reporting for local campaigns, web & social media activity.
- Lead community management & content production for social media channels with agency.
- Managing implementation of SEO and social activity in market for builder categories & brands.
Your profile
- You have minimum 5 years or more working experience in FMCG industry within brand and/or digital marketing management. Experience within MNC is preferable.
- You also have a degree (B.Sc / M.Sc.) within a marketing or business-related discipline.
- You have knowledge and experience in conducting consumer Qualitative and Quantitative research.
- You have knowledge in communication assets, marketing mixes development, and have worked with agencies before
- You have knowledge in brand strategy development and developing annual brand plans
- You are able to demonstrate the ability to provide leadership to key project and cross-functional teams, demonstrating both commercial acumen and effective time and project management.
- Good communication skills, and self-driven approach to work are essential for this position along with the ability to work within a matrix organization
- If you have previously done brand management and have solid experience in digital marketing, that would be a big advantage for your candidacy. Able to travel for work oriented task in both Malaysia & Singapore.
