WHAT IS PUBLIC RELATIONS AT BAIN:

Global PR aims to build and protect Bain & Companys reputation by promoting its intellectual property, strategic partnerships, and world-class talent. It positions Bain as a trusted advisor to executives on critical business challenges and ensures a strong, credible presence across global media.

WHERE YOULL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM:

1. Drive PR campaign planning and execution: Manage project plans independently, coordinate across teams, and adapt strategies to meet evolving firm priorities with minimal oversight.
2. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with marketing, digital, editorial, and thought leadership teams to support firm-wide initiatives and ensure consistent, impactful messaging across channels.
3. Contribute as a strategic team member: Communicate proactively with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and promote inclusive, effective collaboration.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Support regional PR efforts by planning and executing campaigns related to Bains reports and insights, identifying media targets, and developing media lists.
• Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and PR assets, and take responsibility for developing some press materials independently, ensuring they meet local and regional needs.
• Support the distribution of press releases and media pitches, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and manage postings on Bains website and newswires.
• Help track and evaluate inbound media opportunities, making strategic recommendations.
• Coordinate media interviews for Bain partners and support media training initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets.

• Manage campaign calendars and content, updating timelines and tracking campaign opportunities.
• Maintain PR campaign documentation in Bains content management system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Improve the teams file management systems to enhance collaboration and efficiency.

• Support media coverage analysis, providing insights to inform strategy.
• Draft social media content aligned with media activities and firm messaging.
• Monitor Bains social channels for reputational risks and escalate issues as needed.

• Manage vendor relationships and oversee invoice processing to ensure timely payments.

• 2-4+ years of experience managing impactful PR projects, preferably in both agency and in-house settings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and independently manage projects from strategy to execution.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate and strategic communications under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Interest in industries Bain consults; experience in professional services, B2B PR, or thought leadership marketing is a plus.
• Digital savvy, familiar with web platforms, CMS, social media (especially LinkedIn), and media metrics.
• Proficiency in a second language (Chinese in APAC) is advantageous.
