A DevOps Architect is a key role within an organization that focuses on designing, implementing, and managing the DevOps practices and infrastructure. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development and operations processes. Responsibilities include: Design and implement DevOps strategies, frameworks, and practices to optimize software development and delivery processes. Proactively review and improve the DevSecOps platform. Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Define and establish DevOps best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across projects. Automate and manage the continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates or Bicep within Azure environment. Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the availability and performance of applications. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance the DevOps ecosystem. Lead and mentor development and operations teams in adopting DevOps practices and technologies. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and implement security measures throughout the software development lifecycle. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing. Define integration standards, security, monitoring, and testing protocols. Scripting experience with PowerShell, JSON, and YAML. Experience onboarding new applications to the DevOps platform and integrating with security and testing tools like Nexus, SonarQube, Snyk, Atlassian products. Experience with DevOps platforms such as GitHub Enterprise and Jenkins. Experience on Azure services like AKS/ACR, App Services, Azure API Management, and Azure Functions.
