Head of Digital Design Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid) Closing Date: Friday 6th September 2025

Cognition Evolve is one of New Zealand and Australias leading digital learning agencies, working across both the education sector and workplace learning and development. We are in an exciting period of growth and looking for the right person to join our Learning Experience Design team. Based in Malaysia, you will deliver a unique and tailored service within our Creative team—going beyond the ordinary to craft memorable digital interactions for both internal and external clients.

What You Will Be Doing

Contributing to the development and execution of the annual plan for your region

Leading the digital design and development of innovative learning solutions, ensuring quality across all products and services

Ensuring all learning solutions align with best practice in UX, digital accessibility, and modern learning design principles

Leading and developing the Digital Design Team in your region

Managing service performance to support the divisions commercial objectives

Reviewing and approving regional creative work to meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and project requirements

Overseeing the regional quality assurance process and providing constructive feedback to elevate design standards

Managing delegated budgets and monitoring financial risk in line with organisational requirements

Supporting the development of proposals and tenders

Managing key client relationships throughout contract execution

Skills & Experience

As an ideal candidate you will bring:

5 + years relevant work experience as a learning or digital design consultant/manager, preferably in corporate L&D or a media agency

A bachelors or masters degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. UX, interactive design, graphic design, motion graphics, media, video production)

Proven experience leading a team of learning professionals

Strong capability in conducting needs analysis and designing solutions for both simple and complex projects

Demonstrated creativity in modern digital design and media (including AI, gamification, XR, apps, eLearning, video, animation)

Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior clients
