Finance Manager (Construction Industry) B1

The role of the Finance Manager is pivotal in upholding the financial well-being and integrity of the company. Responsibilities include managing, training, and supervising team members in internal controls related to financial reporting, accounts payable, project accounting and invoicing, fixed assets, and tax compliance.

• Supervise accounting activities to ensure the company operates within legal boundaries.
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, financial reporting standards and conduct cash flow forecasting.
• Provide guidance to management on tax policy and tax compliance.
• Responsible for strategic tax planning to minimize the company’s tax burden.
• Adhere to proper accounting procedures to achieve financial objectives.
• Responsible for the company yearly financial auditing and tax filing.
• Ensure the company is complying with tax laws and regulations; and accurate tax returns are prepared and filed to minimize the risk of audit or penalty.
• Implement all relevant policies, activities, government and legal procedures.
• Manage and execute other duties consistent with the role of accounting professional.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance/ Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 8 years professional experience, including 3 years corporate tax experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) or accountancy firm.
• Preferably experience in construction industry.
• Must have strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up actions.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as operate independently.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
